My role at KTL began a couple of years ago when delivering monthly art and design workshops for existing learners and taster sessions for apprehensive potential new learners.

Alongside my art world, pre self-employment, I have worked in various administration roles including the education department for the council and in newspapers.  Trained as a Samaritans volunteer, a truly rewarding job was working for The Derbyshire Federation for Mental Health.  Managing and providing telephone listening support for tenants with a range of mental health conditions has improved my knowledge and understanding about life and people and just being there can be so rewarding.

These skills, experience and knowledge has benefitted me tremendously in my role as an arts, design and creative support tutor for KTL.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
