Sarah Vakilpour – Director, Techknital Fabrics Ltd
Initially we approached KTL to assist in the recruitment and training of our new apprenticeship position. It was however identified that two of our employees both mature males could access training as well that would benefit the business.
They were understandably reluctant as both had been out of education for almost 30 years. Bev put them at ease within minutes and throughout the journey they looked forward to her visits so they could present the work they had completed. Both achieved their qualification and surpassed requirements and although they were already highly competent employees the training has given them added confidence. This has been reflected in a new found energy to make recommendations for operational improvement, and undertake tasks they would have previously considered outside of the knowledge base. The benefits have been ongoing.
